Silecroft Beach
Silecroft Caravan Park nestles close by, some 200 metres, from a delightful sand and shingle beach. Silecroft beach stretches as far as the eye can see, in both directions and, together with the gently sloping, shallow, sandy nature of the water, makes the beach very safe and popular with children.

Silecroft beach is one of the few beaches in England, and the only beach in the North West, to constantly be awarded the EEC directive's 'Excellent Water Quality' over the past eight years, and is a winner of the seaside 'Green Flag' award.

There are particularly good water-sports available locally,
including:

Fishing
The beach provides good catches of sea fish all year round
with several fishing clubs for the competitively minded.
There is also a launching bay for deep water fishing.

Windsurfing
The beach is particularly good for windsurfing followers
and is also a very safe area for beginners to get to grips with the sport.

Canoeing
The beach frequently hosts parties of canoeing enthusiasts exploring the varied coastline.

Water-skiing
3 miles away from Silecroft Caravan Park,
is a 'WWSF approved' skiing centre,
which also provides sailing and windsurfing tuition.
